Check it out! The Awesome Eyes Student Vision Program is a new program geared toward helping families recognize and diagnose vision problems early in school-aged children – before they develop into serious learning barriers or lifelong vision challenges.

The program was created by Dr. Rosenak and his team because many in-school screenings are not designed to catch all eye problems or evaluate eye health, and this can make an impact on a child’s learning even during initial school and preschool years.

According to the American Optometric Association (AOA), infants should have their first comprehensive eye exam at 6 months of age. Children should then have a vision test again at 3 years of age, and just before they enter kindergarten. For children already in school, doctors suggest an eye exam annually, even if there are no outward signs of problems. This is because children’s vision changes as they grow and new problems can be undetected if eye exams are not repeated.

Sign up today for the Awesome Eyes Student Vision Program, and you’ll receive valuable updates on children’s eye health from our team as well as special discounts. Kids get an Awesome Eyes prize pack when you sign up!

What you don’t see really CAN hurt you.
Do you know about our retinal photography service?

Retinal Photography is an important tool that can assist us in the early detection of eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, precancerous and cancerous lesions, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. It provides an excellent “behind the scenes” opportunity to get baseline information on your eye health, revealing in excellent detail photos of the nerves and areas surrounding the eye. It aids in diagnosis and can sometimes reveal undiagnosed or difficult vision problems.  Our doctors highly recommend these photos for patients of all ages.
